Wednesday night, myself, Mr A & my cousin Paul headed down to The Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen
for a catch up, few beers and a bit of live music. The word ‘few’ is used very loosely, Thursday was a difficult day, I must admit.
The deco is awesome; a raw, warehouse vibe tucked away in the East End, boasting an array of quirky wall art and unfinished furnishings. The whole place was very down to earth and didn’t take itself too seriously – just how we like it! Note the penis on the wall, casual.
We slumped at the bar and put the world to right until just before 10pm when the awesome Stray Dogs
were headlining. I was unfamiliar to this up-and-coming “indie, big sound, pop rock”, 5-piece from Tunbridge Wells until about 5 days ago. And now, I can’t stop listening! Wednesday saw the launch of their new single; ‘Vanity Fair’
and we were blown away!
I shall definitely be re-visiting HSBK
for some TexMex in the near future!
As for Stray Dogs, give them a listen
; I think you’ll like what you hear…
P.S. The Cosmopolitans were INCREDIBLE.
